Men need style too!

Indie Industries just opened up their second San Francisco location and it's all about the men, bringing locally designed fashion to all those style conscious boys of the mission district!

We are always excited to hear about new venues and boutiques that connect local artists and their community.  Especially during this economic hardship, we really need to see a growing support of all things local.  But really above all, we need to see a growing awareness in the power of our consumption.  Where we spend our money has more influence then people seem to realize, so wake up and start spending local!  When you spend your money in local stores, on average it has 3 times the monetary impact on the community when compared to a national chain store.  Not only that but local stores provide more competition, innovation and diversity.  Ok. Ok.  We will step down from our soapbox but for those intrigued, we have linked some additional reading material below...

Trunkshow Sundays at Indie Industries

Looking for a great way to kill a few hours this sunday and every sunday?  Indie Industries (a longtime promoter of independent bay area style) has started a new weekly event, where a sweet local designer hosts a trunkshow!!  We love local fashion and what better way to get to know the artists in your area then to spend some face-time with them and their fabulous looks.

Next Up...Villain Accessories, March 1st

Villain Accessories is the creation of Brandi Collins, a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer in the state of California. Inspired by love and loss, Brandi has been able to incorporate her vision and create a fantastic collection of vibrant, original, as much as it is stunning line of jewelry.

Want to participate....Indie Industries needs more local designers! details after the jump.
