Pie. Pie. Pie. WE LOVE PIE!

Pie must be one of our favorite deserts, so when our good friend, Richard, decided pie was his destiny we could do nothing but rejoice!  What started as just learning how to make pie has turned into a pie obsession on the web!  With the launch(tomorrow) of a  new site, pieaday.com, visitors will get to share Richard's pie obsession daily, with a new mouth watering pie recipe each day!

So if you are a pie lover like us, be sure to check out pieaday.com daily to learn the ins and out of everything PIE!

SITE LAUNCH: TOMORROW April 1st (we swear its no April fools joke...)

Show & Tell: Bike Craft Sew Love

For the next edition of blog show & tell we wanted to share with you BikeCraftSewLove, a cute little blog about the passion and life of the writers, Mike and Kelley.  This blog is great place for local bay area peeps that share a love for Bikes, crafts, gardening and general life.  One thing we have really enjoyed about their blog is how they create a mix of social/political messages with postings on crafts and other lighthearted fun activities!  Here at bennykelly we also believe in mixing the tough with the playful, makes it that much easier to shallow!

So if this sounds like your type of space, show them some support and subscribe to thier feed!  When you head on over, be sure to check out thier awesome posting "songsmith" and "working hard for the money" (two of our recent favorites...).  They are sure to entertain and inform!

show & tell: WhatTheCraft

WhatTheCraft.com is the ultimate resource guide for the DIY fashion obsessed!  Started in 2005 by an aspiring fashion designer named Alexis, this site is a forum for fashion tutorials, resources and promotion!  One of the reasons we love WhatTheCraft is their great selection of sewing and craft tutorials, useful for the beginner to the advanced.  You can also find guides to learn what is needed to find success in selling your designs.  The site even has a sewing machine troubleshooting guide and reviews of select sewing machines/accessories!!  What crafter would not find that useful?

Stop on by the site...share a tutorial, learn a new pleating technique, or show off  your own creations in one of WhatTheCraft's frequent contests!  You might even get the itch to bookmark this one.  We did!!

Show and Tell: SF Indie Fashion

We are starting a new series "Show and Tell" where we will be highlighting blogs/websites that are just too good not to share!  And to jump right in and start off this series, we have the fantastic website SF Indie Fashion.

SF Indie Fashion is a site and online resource dedicated to the independent fashion scene in the Bay Area.  Edited and managed by Lorraine Sanders, this site is an invaluable source for up and coming designers.  Here in the Bay Area, we actually have VERY few trade resources for our local fashion industry.  Before trying to find information was a shot in the dark (and meant talking to everyone you know until someone had your answer), but now we have a place to go for information out about all the different craft shows, fashion shows, and other design events needing local artists.

Another reason we love SF Indie Fashion is that they have a strong belief in the importance of conscious consumerism and supporting your local independent fashion scene-locally-owned boutiques and businesses and creative endeavors of all kinds.  If all us little guys are to survive through this economic downturn we need all the local support we can get!  So spread around the community love and make SF Indie Fashion your go to source for store/designer reviews and the latest in local events!

If you have a site that you just cannot live without...share it with us!!
