Our friend Jody over at When You Awake is proud to present the very first Gold Dust, an all girl DJ night at Footsies in Mt Washington/Highland Park!  This night is guaranteed to get you kicking in those styling cowboy boots you love.  So if your in the LA area grab a friend (and maybe a shot of whiskey) and come on down to support the new GOLD DUST!

Music is always better when it's free!

Love going to great shows but low on money?  Well we have just the band or you.  Monsters are Not Myths will be rocking you silly tomorrow with a free show in San Francisco!!  They will be playing for a whole hour of folk, rock, economic stimulus and, most importantly, cowbells.  If anything, come for their love of burritos!

Time for a Revival...fabric & beats!

We are so excited to be welcoming back our most beloved project, fabric & beats! "Just what is fabric & beats?", you ask.  Well, as back as Kelly can remember she made a habit of sitting in living rooms listening to her friends play their multitude of instruments.  Never quite having the technical flare to play an instrument, kelly often only participated through encouragement.  Recently though the idea of encouraging her friends brought her to one realization: fashion + music = encouragement in the best way possible, stylish promotion!

So since we love nothing more than great music and new fashion, benny & kelly reintroduces fabric & beats, a dedication to those friends we have who love the music more than anything else!  And to start this project off we have an amazing band from the Los Angeles area, SHMOE!!

SHMOE is a great rock band that is always surprising us with goodness.  Recording in the home of founding member

Shmoe Show Tonight in LA!

Shmoe is back in the tour van, ready to rock you a new one!  If you're in need of some sweet music tonight, head over to see Shmoe at the Guitar Merchant.  This will be your first chance to get a Shmoe tee created by us as part of our fabric & beats project (but more on that later...)!!  So please show some love tonight!

On Vacation...

As you may have noticed our postings have slowed down in the last couple of days. We are sorry for the lack of entertainment but we decided to do a last min vacation to visit family and friends in Los Angeles!

We will be back on thursday and with new tutorials, events and the grand return of fabric & beats!!

ArtNow SF visits Arizona

ArtNow SF, a great local promoter of bay area up and coming artists, is visiting Arizona this weekend to take part in Tucson's Gem & Jam 2009.  Gem & Jam is a (3) days music and art festival, with live shows (both painting and musical) and handmade goodies from a variety of vendors.

We wish we were closer, to join in all the frivilities and hear some great music!!  But sadly we will settle on living vicariously through pictures sent to us by others.  So if you go send us pictures!!!
